Last updated: 24 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MarketCheck Cars, Inc. (“MarketCheck”, “we”, “us”,
“our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through marketcheck.uk
(the “Site”), and the rights and choices you have. It covers our obligations under the
UK and EU GDPR and, for visitors in California/the US, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA
(CCPA/CPRA)
.

1. Who we are

MarketCheck provides automotive inventory and sales data, APIs, data feeds and reports. For
the personal information described in this Policy, MarketCheck is the data controller.
Contact details are in Section 12.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: name, business email, phone number, company, role, and any
details you submit through contact, demo, free-trial, support or newsletter forms; and
billing details when you purchase services.
  • Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location, device and
browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and on-site interactions — collected via
cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

We do not intentionally collect special-category data or data from children (see Section 10).

3. How we use your information

To provide, operate and improve our products and services; respond to enquiries and
requests; process transactions and billing; send service messages and, where permitted,
marketing; measure and improve site and campaign performance; maintain security and prevent
fraud; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising)
load only after you consent
through our cookie banner (provided by CookieYes), which
offers an equally prominent “Reject All” option. You can change or withdraw consent at
any time via the “Cookie Settings” / “Consent Preferences” link. We implement Google
Consent Mode v2
, so Google tags do not read or write advertising/analytics cookies or
identifiers until you consent. Full details and the cookie list are in our
Cookie Policy.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with:
service providers / processors (hosting, analytics, advertising, email, CRM, payments)
acting on our behalf; advertising and analytics partners (Section 4) — some of which may
constitute “selling” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under
CCPA/CPRA, which you can opt out of (Section 7); for legal and safety reasons; and in
connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition or asset sale).

6. Your UK / EU privacy rights (GDPR)

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure,
restriction, data portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent at any time,
and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information
Commissioner’s Office). Our legal bases are consent (non-essential cookies and
marketing), contract, and legitimate interests.

7. Your US / California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident you have the right to know/access, delete,
correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of
cross-context behavioural advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for
exercising these rights. To opt out: use the “Cookie Settings” banner to reject
advertising cookies, or contact us (Section 12). We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC)
signals where detected.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as
required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Security and international transfers

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. Where personal information is
transferred internationally (including to the US), we rely on appropriate transfer
mechanisms such as the UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data
Transfer Agreement.

10. Children’s privacy

The Site is a business service not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly
collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy and will revise the date above. Material changes will be made
clear on this page.
