The Inventory Search API is a live search across every car for sale in the UK: 675,000 listings from 11,000 dealers, refreshed daily. Ask it a question in one HTTP request and get structured JSON back in milliseconds.
It powers everything from consumer car-search sites to pricing engines and market dashboards. If you can describe the cars you want to find, there is a parameter for it.

The car itself
Year, make, model, variant, body type, doors, transmission, fuel type, engine size, colour, even ULEZ compliance and insurance group.
Price and value
Price bands, price changes and discounts, VAT status, and mileage ranges, so you can find the cars priced out of line with the market.
Location
Radius search from any postcode or coordinates, or filter by city, county or country. Results come back nearest-first with the distance on every car.
The seller
Search within one dealer, a dealership group, franchise vs independent, or FCA-authorised dealers only. Include or exclude any source you choose.
Market timing
Days on market, cars first listed in the last 24 hours, recent price drops. Catch stock the moment it moves.
Vehicle history
Look up any car by its number plate, find its duplicates across sites, or pull comparable cars matched on year, make, model and variant.

Common questions
How fresh is the data?
Listings refresh daily across all 11,000 dealers, and you can filter specifically for cars first listed in the last 24 hours, so new stock is searchable the day it appears.
Can I search by number plate?
Yes. Pass a VRM to find that exact car, add nodedup to see its adverts across every website, or use the match parameter to pull comparable cars matched on year, make, model and variant, the foundation of a pricing tool.
How does location search work?
Give the API a postcode or coordinates plus a radius in miles. Results return nearest-first with the distance on every car, and combine freely with any other filter.
How many results can I retrieve?
Up to 50 per call with pagination to 10,000 results per query. For whole-market extraction the same data ships as bulk feeds, which is the right tool beyond roughly that scale.
What is the auto-complete endpoint?
A companion API that powers search-as-you-type: give it a partial word and a field such as make or model and it returns suggestions with live inventory counts, filtered by any context you set, like county or fuel type.
