Our story

Ten years of automotive data, now built for the UK

MarketCheck has been an automotive data provider across North America for over a decade, working with dealers, marketplaces, lenders and insurers at national scale. We launched in the UK in January 2022 to bring that depth to a market served by slower, less granular data.

Since then we have built the most comprehensive live view of the UK used-car market available: over 680,000 adverts tracked every day across 11,000 dealers and 14,000 locations, with every listing recorded since January 2021.

We are part of Market Check Cars Inc., with a team of 60 across the USA, UK, EU and India.

How the data is built

Clean data is the hard part

Collecting car adverts is straightforward. Making them comparable is not. The same car can appear on several of a dealer group’s websites, described differently on each, with inconsistent trim names and missing specification.
