Marketcheck, the UK’s most significant source of data on the UK used car market, has today published statistics on the state of the used EV market in the UK, with some unexpected results.
Marketcheck has analysed the average listing price of every used EV available to buy in the country throughout September. This in-depth analysis has revealed Greater London was the cheapest place you could buy a used EV last month. The average listing price for used EVs in the capital last month was £20,962, £6,772 cheaper than the most expensive region, Yorkshire and the Humber.
The data also show that the average listing price has fallen in every region in the UK, when compared with the previous year. The average listing price in London of £20,962 in September 2024 was £5,451.42 cheaper when compared with September the previous year. The East Midlands saw the largest decrease – last month this had fallen to £25,472, a £7,689 reduction.
In Yorkshire and the Humber, the average list price has remained relatively stable, seeing only a £249 drop last month compared with the previous year.
